How to Create a More Vibrant Bedroom Decor

The average person spends approximately one-third of his or her life in the bed. Because of this, it's important to create an attractive, functional bedroom decor. If your bedroom is poorly designed, you won't be able to use it to its fullest potential. So, today we're going to explore some simple ways to make your bedroom more vibrant.

Choose Bright Colors

Perhaps the easiest way to make your bedroom more vibrant is to use bright colors. Instead of neutral colors, for instance, consider using yellow, light green, light blue and rose pink. Even if they are only used as secondary colors, bight colors such as these will improve your bedroom's decor while creating a more vibrant atmosphere.

Add Color to the Floor

How exactly do you add color to your bedroom's floor? While you can always install new carpeting, an easier solution is to add a colorful area rug. Whether it's a full-size area rug or simply a "runner," doing so will help to create a more vibrant atmosphere in your bedroom. Area rugs are also useful for defining spaces. Just remember to choose the right shape; otherwise, it's not going to benefit your bedroom's decor.

Use Sheer Curtains

Blackout curtains aren't necessarily the best choice of window treatment for the bedroom. Sure, they can make it easier to fall asleep at night by blocking nearly all exterior light. However, they also create a darker room, which can negatively affect the mood and overall atmosphere of your bedroom.

Consider using sheer curtains over blinds in your bedroom. You can leave the blinds open and the curtains pulled down during the day, which should allow just enough light in to illuminate and enhance your bedroom's decor. And when the sun goes down, you can pull the blinds down to create a darker room at night.

Hang a Mirror

Mirrors are an invaluable tool in home decor. Aside from their functional benefits, they also illuminate the area by reflecting light while also creating the appearance of a larger and more open space.

Add Plants

No, that's not a typo. Adding plants to your bedroom can make it more vibrant. A small cornstalk plant is the perfect addition to any bedroom. With its green leaves and brown trunk, it brings new color to the decor. Furthermore, plants such as this promote clean air by filtering out dust and impurities.
