This hunter's style German cuckoo clock features wooden hands, a black wood dial with Roman numerals, and a white, hand-carved cuckoo bird.  The cuckoo clock case is surrounded by deeply carved oak leaves, a stag's head above the clock, two crossed hunting rifles, and two live animals - all in a natural, medium wood stain.  Beneath the cuckoo door and above the clock dial there is a revolving turntable with several sets of dancers who will twirl to a 36 note music box tune after the cuckoo has called.

On the hour, every hour, the cuckoo bird will emerge from behind a swinging door above the clock dial and counts out the hour by cuckooing once for each hour (for example: at one o'clock the bird will cuckoo once.  At eight o'clock the bird will cuckoo eight times).  The half hour is announced with one cuckoo call.  Also on the hour, after the cuckoo's call, the dancers below the cuckoo will move and twirl whilst a 36 note music box is played.  Please note, this particular clock has a lever which can be manually switched to turn off the sound.  The 240 hour all brass mechanical Regula movement, which is produced in the Black Forest of Germany, is wound easily once per week by simply pulling on the chains to raise the three pine cone weights.  One weight powers the time; another weight powers the cuckoo, cuckoo call, and the dancers; and the third one powers the music box.

Three cast iron pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by three separate brass chains.  The hand-carved maple leaf pendulum continuously swings back and forth which controls the timing of the clock.  If your cuckoo clock's timing should ever need adjustment, you can control the speed of your clock by sliding the maple leaf up or down the pendulum stick.  Sliding the maple leaf down causes the cuckoo clock to run slightly slower, while sliding the maple leaf up makes the cuckoo clock run slightly faster.

*Great effort has been made to portray each cuckoo clock as accurately as possible.  However, as with any handmade item, the exact coloration and carving may vary slightly from clock-to-clock.  We consider this to be a special part of their character and will make the one you purchase unique to you, and only you.  This clock is covered by a two-year limited warranty covering workmanship and manufacturers defects.
