This charming carved style German quartz (battery) cuckoo clock in pure white accurately keeps time and plays one of twelve melodies at the top of each hour. The hand-carved case features five leaves and a bird. On every hour the cuckoo bird emerges from a swinging door above the clock dial and counts the hour by cuckooing once per hour (example: at one o'clock the bird will cuckoo once. At eight o'clock the bird will cuckoo eight times). The half hour is announced with one cuckoo call. After the cuckoo bird cuckoos one of twelve different melodies will play:

4. Swan Lake

5. He was beautiful (theme song of the movie the "Deer Hunter")

6. Lorelei

7. Home sweet Home

8. Sound of Silence

Two cast iron pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by two separate brass chains. Naturally the weights are purely decorative as, being battery powered, this clock requires no hand winding whatsoever. The hand-carved pendulum continuously swings back and forth.

This clock also comes with a control for the volume level of the cuckoo call and a silent mode as well. It also requires three C size batteries to operate (not included).

This clock is 10 inches in height and 6 inches across as you look at it. As such this fits into our "small" size clock filter
