If you drop a heavy object on it, the tiles may crack or shatter.

A lesser-known type of flooring for the bathroom is cork. Made of lightweight bark, it's the perfect alternative to traditional hardwood. It's stylish, soft, comfortable and looks great with all styles of decor. Cork flooring is also resistant to mold and mildew, further increasing its value when used in the bathroom. And if you want to make cork flooring stronger, you can add a coating of polyurethane finish.

Of course, bamboo is another option to consider when choosing flooring for your bathroom. As explained by The Spruce, bamboo flooring is an environmentally friendly, easy to maintain and water resistant.

Finally, laminate is always an excellent choice of flooring for the bathroom. Also known as floating wood tile, it consists of multiple layers of synthetic material that are fused together through lamination (hence the name).
